I remember the first time I ever went to a concert as a teenager. I think it was a Scorpions concert in the old Kemper Arena. I was so excited for it! There were so many people in that arena and we were geared up for some loud and crazy music. When the band entered the arena, everyone erupted in screaming and hands were raised in the air. It was energizing, loud, and completely crazy!
That scene is nothing compared to the scene I picture in my head when I think of the biblical text from the book of Revelation.
I've recently read through Revelation again with my youth as they wanted to study it. It's meant to be read during one sitting. It will only take you about an hour. But I bet you'll read it again once you do this. Take some time to underline parts that stand out to you. Take some time to close your eyes and see the vision that John of Patmos gives us. Let the imagery captivate you.
What stands out to me in this little section is, "Then I heard EVERY creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them singing..."
EVERY creature praising God. How glorious would that be?!
Close your eyes....can you see it?
