Sunday Morning Worship
When you enter the worship space at Overland Park Christian, you will find a wide variety of dress – from blue jeans and a sweatshirt to blue blazer and tie – and folks joyfully chatting with each other. One of our greeters will be happy to help you find a place to sit, a bulletin, the family friendly worship space, the nursery and/or children’s worship materials, and answer any questions you may have. (Nursery care is available between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.)
9:00 a.m. - Coffee Fellowship in the Fireside Room (Continues throughout the morning)
9:00 a.m. - Christian Education in various classrooms throughout the building, including the "Middlers" Class, Children & Youth Christian Education, and seasonal special studies.
9:30 a.m. – Worship – our primary worship gathering that will include both traditional and contemporary elements, woven into a progressive and unique worship style. Children are welcome to stay in our 10:30 a.m. worship; Children Worship & Wonder is also offered during this worship service if that is more suitable for your family needs.
In our worship, we draw on both ancient and modern practices of the Christian faith, choral and popular music styles, and weave them into an interactive tapestry of prayer, praise, quiet contemplation, and fellowship. While we may follow a traditional model in the sense of time and organization, we offer more than traditional style worship. The mood is affirming, uplifting and joyful… and we think you will like it if you give it a try. We hope to see you soon!
You can also join us each week via livestream. We're working to make it a better experience each and every week. We know that our community of faith reaches near and far - we're glad you're a part of us no matter where you are!
