For our final Worship from Home of 2020, we invite you to TRULY worship from home with liturgy and guidance to follow all on your own!
We have two options for you to Worship from Home on Sunday, December 27.
The first is from A Sanctified Art, LLC that has helped guide us through the "Those Who Dream" series during Advent and Christmas. We will continue "Those Who Dream," through Sunday, January 3. Those Who Dream Will Not Keep Silent is designed to help you set aside time and space for worship in your own home. While this may not be the formal order of worship you are accustomed to, this simply liturgy invites you to carve out space for reflection, scripture, and prayer - using items you likely have at home. It can be used by individuals or families, including those with young children. You can download this option here.
The second option is from a fellow Disciples church in Arizona and provides a more interactive option for worshiping from home this Sunday. You’re invited to pray for your neighborhood, making a five-stop journey throughout your neighborhood, town, or city, ending at your home. You should be able to complete the first four stops driving around not too far from your home or walking around a downtown area. At each stop, you’re invited to read a scripture, reflect on that scripture in that place, and pray before heading to the next stop. You can download this Praying the Neighborhood option, here.
A third, or additional option for your Sunday morning includes a concert from last year's Hanging of the Greens service at one of our sister Disciples churches in Kentucky. Rev. Dean Phelps has sung for us in worship this year, and we are grateful for his voice, again!
