Help Us Celebrate New Beginnings!

8/21/2020

On Sunday August 30, and Tuesday September 1st we will offer blessings and celebration on a new school year. We do so recognizing this new school year is nothing like any we've experienced in our lifetimes, and that it is difficult in as many ways as it is exciting.

On Sunday, August 30th we will look at the scripture from Exodus 2 in which Moses' mother also experienced a beginning that was nothing like she planned. The plans she had for her child unraveled around her, but they also were surrounded by God's presence, and God's grace!

In worship we would like to share a slide show of "new beginnings for your kids" - whether they are kids now, or are adults but will always be YOUR kids, we want all the pictures! Pictures of you as a kid, pictures of your kids, pictures of your kids, kids, pictures of your nieces / nephews.

First days of school, getting the driver's license, heading off to camp, heading off to college and more. Whatever you can think of - photos of those new beginnings in which we also  have plans and hopes for our children, yet never knowing how they will go. We have hopes and plans, dreams and more, but most importantly we have God's presence with us!

Send us your photos by clicking here on this link.

  • This link will take you to a Dropbox File Request.
  • Once you are on this page you can "Choose Files" or "Choose from Computer" to choose the photos you are willing to share.
  • You DO NOT need to have a Dropbox account in order to share these with us - this is a file request for the church that already has a Dropbox account.

No identifying information will be shared with these photos, rather a slide show of new beginnings while we hear "The Prayer" as our special music on Sunday August 30th - a prayer for our children, a prayer for all children, and for new beginnings.
