History of Costa Rica Mission Trips
We have an ongoing relationship with Discipulos de Cristo, a Disciples of Christ congregation in San Jose, Costa Rica. We have built strong relationships with the people of the church and are excited to continue to engage with and communicate with them through the wonders of social media.
Check back for an update about our 2019 Costa Rica mission trip!
On our trip in 2014 we had a group of 14 people from the church aged 16-86 who shared in this experience together. We stayed Alajuela at Hotel Cala, a small bread and breakfast located in the city center. While we don’t always know what type of mission work we will be doing until shortly before we leave, we are always excited to work with the Costa Rican people, to cultivate old friendships and to form new relationships. We offer mission work based on their greatest need, our abilities, and where the Spirit leads us.
Our trip not only consisted of these 14 people, however. Our trip was also supported by many wonderful donations and prayers from within our OPCC family, and from all around the globe. In exchange for this love and support we offered a presentation by our traveling group, complete with a Costa Rican meal, held at the church shortly after we returned.
