Joining Our Faith Community
Membership
Membership is not required to participate with and be a part of events at OPCC. All are welcome at OPCC, and we know that full membership is important to many.
OPCC welcomes individuals into membership in several ways, including but not limited to:
Our process is not complicated; simply arrange a visit with one of our pastors to discuss your personal situation, and when you decide our congregation is right for you, simply let one of our pastors or an elder know you are ready for membership.
We routinely offer opportunities to meet with one of our pastors; sessions to learn more about the congregation and our denomination, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); and offer an optional orientation class for new members, or those contemplating more direct involvement in our faith community.

OPCC welcomes individuals into membership in several ways, including but not limited to:
- A confession of faith in Christ Jesus;
- Transfer of membership from another congregation (any other congregation; we don’t claim to be the only Christians, we are Christians only, and recognize and support the ministry of other Christian churches);
- Reaffirmation of faith (for those without an active membership at another congregation); and,
- Spiritual seekers who want to explore faith but are not ready for membership are encouraged and welcomed in our faith community. If you are looking for companions to walk beside you on faith’s way, encourage and support you, and offer you the freedom to decide your faith without coercion, OPCC is the church for you!
