Christian Education for Adults
Christian Education is an integral part of the mission of OPCC. If the church does nothing else, it should be a place where people of faith can come and learn about the good news Jesus brought to our world. As a community of faith, we strive to know Jesus better, to learn how to live in a way that reflects Christ's love, and to be open to new and refreshing voices and perspectives on the timeless stories in Scripture.
We offer a variety of Sunday School Classes for adults. Some meet on a regular basis, every single Sunday, while others meet for six-eight weeks at a time. Take your pick and visit us at any time. All are welcome at each of our Sunday School classes. "Middlers - Feasting on the Word" NW corner of Fellowship Hall 9:00am - 10:00am This Bible study will follow the lectionary which are frequently the scriptures used in our worship service. This integrated study will allow further faith development by intentional connections between worship and faith transformation. Peggy Moore, leader *Please note the Middlers class will take a hiatus during the summer and will resume on September 10, 2017. "Prayerful Education" Prayer Chapel 9:00am - 10:00am This gathering of adults follows the same scriptural schedule as our 10:30am worship service, but in a different way. Gather with us as we participate in an intimate worshipful way with prayer practices and scriptural focus in our prayer chapel each week. Rev. Laura Phillips, leader |
