1 Peter 4:10-11 — God has given each of you a gift from his variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
Please plan on joining us for an all-church, intergenerational day of worshiping through service. Instead of worshiping God in our sanctuary on this 5th Sunday in April, we will worship God out in, and with, our community through service to the family of God! That means we will NOT have traditional worship service in our sanctuary on Sunday morning, April 30th. Instead, we will worship and fellowship together as we take God’s love out into our community in service to others. The schedule for the day is as follows:
8:30am - 12:30pm – Communion, worship stations, and meditative space available in the OPCC prayer chapel. No 8:30 service.
9:00am - 1:00pm – Teams 1, 2, & 3 – Worship through Service projects
1:00pm - Lunch & Informal Worship at OPCC Fellowship Hall – Lunch provided by our youth as a fund-raising project for their summer mission trip
2:00pm - 5:00pm Teams 4 & 6 – Worship through Service projects
Team 1 – Making lap blankets for area nursing homes
Team 2 – Area park clean-up project / Church clean-up project (rain plan provided as needed)
Team 3 – Animal shelter volunteers (must be at least 15 years of age)
Team 4 – Church clean-up project (rain plan provided as needed)
Team 6 – Nursing home visit to read and play games with residents
We are looking forward to this day of worship through service! Come with an open mind and a willingness to share your gifts and talents!
