one: Blessed God, thank you for your abundance and faithfulness to us in times of plenty and in times of
need. Your goodness and generosity overflow throughout your story. How Great is our God!
many: With grateful hearts, we thank you.
one: Through your grace, given us in Jesus Christ, we respond to your goodness, mindful of our church’s needs, but more from hearts of love so that you can accomplish your work through us in this world.
many: We love you because you first loved us.
one: We are living in days of financial and societal stress that affect our financial decisions. Give us the
wisdom and courage to keep our eyes on our needs, not on our wants, to keep our ears open to your
transforming story, not to the noise of discontent.
many: Remind us that true gain comes from consecrating our lives and our offerings to your
transforming use.
one: Your Word calls us away from adapting ourselves to the way of this present age and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Remind us again of the blessings of giving, the perils of hiding away, and the joy of living as the generous people you have called us to become.
many: Open our ears and our hearts to the truth you provide. Guide us to live out that truth in our stories.
one: We turn over to You our pledges and our commitments, to consecrate, and make holy. Keep us honest in our abilities, generous in our giving, sincere in our service and loyal in our stewardship. We entrust you with these gifts and our promises, that you can use them for transforming work, that all the world will know the loyal and steadfast love of Jesus Christ.
all: We commit ourselves to be good stewards of the gifts entrusted to us, to share our time, talent and our material gifts as an outward sign of the treasure we hold in You. We pray in the name of Christ who taught us to pray, together....
