Prelude to Worship
Gathering in the Light
Invitation to Worship
one: O how we had thought the world was so firmly established. That no change should come.
We sang, we shall not, we shall not be moved.
all: We planted ourselves by the water. We fought.
one: O how we thought the world was so firmly established, but here we are, now, trying to believe that there are treasures in the darkness and riches in secret pandemic places that are teaching us and preparing us for what will come next. O how we have hoped for such holy splendor that would make the sea roar and the forest sing for joy so that the whole earth rejoices in song together.
all: Now, we move into possibility.
one: We plant ourselves here beside Living Water that will erode our doubts and chart new paths
of wonder and hope.
all: Let us worship holy God!
