No matter where you are, or when you meet, we hope that you will enjoy this time with the story.

When you are ready to worship have someone in your house find the scripture in the Bible.  Some of the translations may be difficult to understand, so choose one that you can best understand.  If you want to read it online, check out this link.

Exodus 17:1-7

Watch this video fo the story, Water from a Rock
If you have some more time to wonder, you can use these questions to start and wonder even more together:
  • I wonder how God felt when the people complained?
  • I wonder why God's people were not sure that God would provide for them?
  • I wonder what was so special about Moses' walking stick?
  • I wonder if God is always with us?
  • I wonder how God felt about the people testing God?
  • I wonder what is one thing you would be afraid to lose?
  • I wonder if Moses' walking stick only does special things with water?
  • I wonder why Moses felt the area needed two (2) names?
Activities to explore:
  1. You might respond to the wondering questions by written reflections by starting a Family's Spiritual Journey.
  2. What from the story can you model with clay?
    1. You can take pictures of your work with the camera on a phone and include it in your journal.
  3. You might use these coloring sheets.
    1. Click Here for a coloring sheet of the story Water from a Rock that Ms. Judy shared.
    2. Click Here for a second coloring sheet about Psalm 139 that we also read in community worship.
  4. Here is an activity to explore about what you need and want:
    1. Make a list of the things that you need to live.
    2. Make a list of things that you want to have.
    3. How many things do you really need
    4. What are some of the least important things on your lists?
