Monday was our first day of work with our sister church here in Costa Rica! After Ana amazing "Costa Rican Typical Breakfast" at the hotel, we took off across the city to the church. Between three of us that took Spanish in high school and college, we are managing well and were able to communicate with the pastor of the church! He sent some members off to purchase the supplies we would need and then when they returned we got started painting. While they were gone, the fruit truck came by, like the ice cream truck, and we purchased fruit for the week for lunches! After painting a portion of their sanctuary we ended work for the day to get across town for showers and dinner at a "Restaurante Tipica" or a typical Costa Rican restaurant. After some devotion time as a group at night we were all tired and headed to bed, ready for another fun day of work and fellowship on Tuesday!
