Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF)Purpose of Christian Women’s Fellowship:
To provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the Church of Jesus Christ. Founded in 1949, the Christian Women’s Fellowship includes over 80,000 women in over 3,000 congregations of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Canada and the United States. Locally, our CWF supports many worthwhile charities including Cross-Lines, The Together Center, Woodhaven NBS, and the Argentine Food Kitchen. We also support the Colorado Christian Home. The CWF at OPCC consists of a variety of large and small group activities each month. CWF has small groups called “Circles” that meet on a monthly basis from September through May. Other small groups meet on a weekly or monthly basis. We hope you will find that special group just for you! Monday Circle 2 meets the second Monday of the month, September through May, at 7:00 p.m. in members’ homes. We are a mixed group of women juggling careers, children, retirement, aging, parents, and school. Childcare is available at the church, if needed and requested ahead of time. We enjoy a time to share with and learn from each other, as well as a chance to help others. We share leadership, worship, study, and refreshments at each meeting. |

Childcare is available at the church, if needed and requested ahead of time. The group has a strong fellowship and a real commitment to extending Christian love and care to one another and beyond.
Thursday
Circle 5 meets at 12:00 noon in the Fireside Room on the second Thursday of each month, September through May. Each member brings her sack lunch with the exception of three meetings that are served potluck style. Beverages are available at church at each meeting. The meeting emphasis is on study, fellowship, and serving others. All women of the church are welcome to come and visit, and we hope you will find a welcoming place and join our circle.
Service projects are an important part of our Women’s Ministry. These are some of the ways we strive to do our part in sharing God’s love.

- Cross-Lines Christmas Store counts on us to collect new children’s underwear and socks for their December store. We collect year-round and are pleased to be able to help with such a worthwhile project.
- Together Center is an inner-city project that several of our circles support financially and with gifts at the beginning of the school year and at Christmas especially. We have had the opportunity to share in their ministry for many years. An ongoing collection of pennies also goes to this project.
- Cross-Lines Argentine Food Kitchen began as a CWF project in 1990 and has grown into an all-church project that provides the noon meal every third and fifth Thursday of each month to people in the Argentine area of Kansas City, Kansas.
