How We Care
Caring for one another is an important part of our life together at OPCC. Whatever brings you here, you don’t need to know which ministry or person to contact. Start with the Church Office, and we’ll help you find the care and support you need.
Prayer & Spiritual Support
If you are facing a difficult situation, celebrating good news, concerned about someone you love, or simply would like others to pray with you, we welcome your prayer request.
Pastoral Care & Counseling
Sometimes what we need most is a compassionate listener and a safe place to talk. OPCC offers pastoral care for those seeking spiritual guidance or support through personal concerns, relationships, life transitions, grief, illness, crisis, and other difficult circumstances.
When needs extend beyond pastoral care, additional resources or professional support may also be discussed when appropriate.
Visitation & Congregational Care
Care often means simply being present. If you or someone you care about is hospitalized, recovering from an illness or procedure, living in a nursing or care facility, homebound, or facing another situation where a visit or practical support would be helpful, please let us know.
Funerals, Grief & Loss
During the final moments of life and following the death of someone you love, OPCC offers pastoral presence, prayer, and support. Our pastors and church community can walk alongside families as they grieve and make decisions surrounding a funeral, memorial service, funeral-home service, or graveside service.
Grief can also follow many other kinds of loss. Divorce, illness, changes in health, family difficulties, job loss, relocation, financial hardship, separation from loved ones, and other major changes can leave us searching for a new sense of normal.
You do not have to navigate those changes alone. Whether a death is imminent or has occurred, or you are experiencing another significant loss and would like support, contact the Church Office. We’ll help you determine the next step.
Food & Community Assistance
Tiny Pantry Times
If you or someone you know needs food assistance, Tiny Pantry Times provides an accessible community food resource located outside on the OPCC church lawn.
The pantry is accessible 24 hours a day and is restocked between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily.
