A Celebration of Life for Ferne Maddux-Dumm will take place at Overland Park Christian Church on Tuesday, January 5 at 11:00 a.m. Due to COVID restrictions, only 45 people will be allowed in the sanctuary at one time, and masks and social distancing are required for anyone entering the building.

Ferne Maddux Dumm, 94, of Overland Park, KS passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 28, 1926 in Brookfield, Missouri, the daughter of Henry and Martha Wilken. Ferne enjoyed needle work, painting, and crafting.
She is preceded in death by husbands James J. Maddux and Merle Dumm; her parents; and nine siblings. She is survived by three children, James M. Maddux, Patricia Leckrone, and Carolyn Patrick (Harold); four grandchildren, Tricia, Larry, John, and Jason; five great grandchildren, Holly, Lawrence, Jasmine, Grant, and Gaige; and three great-great grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsay, and Macie.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 4, 2021 at Overland Park Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the church with burial following at the Maple Hill Cemetery. All COVID protocols will be in place, and masks will be required while at the church.
