Children's MinistryLisa Setty, Children's Pastor Our GoalsAt Overland Park Christian Church we strive to teach our children about the love of God, Christian responsibility, basic Bible truths, and the worship of God while developing in them a sense of comfort, security, and belonging to the family of Christ. It is the intent, as the congregation of OPCC, that our children learn about the love of Jesus Christ, our Savior, by experiencing it for themselves. We believe that children should feel at home in our church. We are intentional about including children. We nurture and encourage families to be intentional in providing a warm, loving, Christian home for their children. Learn more about OPCC's Children's Ministry. NurseryOur nursery is staffed each Sunday morning with knowledgeable and caring staff. Children from birth through three years old will enjoy age-appropriate toys and games as well as basic Bible songs and Bible stories. Kids' WorshipChildren aged 4 years old through sixth grade may attend a child friendly worship time during the 9:30 a.m. worship service. Following the children’s message the children are dismissed and will be met by a children’s ministry leader in the back of the sanctuary. Our Tru curriculum strives to help the children understand that they are a part of The Big God Story. We hope to assist the children by nurturing a life long relationship with God. HomeFront Monthly, a family resource Christian EducationOur Kids' Worship extends into our Christian Education hour where we can dig deeper into bible study through group and individual activities. We include a time of fellowship and goofy play to strengthen friendship bonds.
